It has been brought to our attention that there has been a significant amount of
fraudulent voting in this year's contest.
In an effort to make this contest fair to everyone, we are implementing the
following protocol for counting the votes:
Each IP address with one individual vote will be counted as one vote. IP addresses
with more than one vote logged will each be counted with two votes.
For example, if your entry's voting record looks like this:
103.10.197.90 1 vote
24.254.8.143 353 votes

The vote count would be 4, one each for the two unique IP addresses and 2 for the IP address that has 353 votes.
This is the only way that we can make sure each entry
is treated equally. We understand that multiple people
will vote from the same computer (mom, dad, grandma, etc.)
but there is no way for us to tell which votes are legitimate
and which are fraudulent when there are 100 + votes
essentially coming from one computer/household.
We will announce the winners on the contest page later this afternoon. Our results are final.

It's easy and free to participate. Just log in with your contest account or register for one if you haven't already. This is different from your Idaho State Journal log in, but once you've signed up for a contest account you can use it to participate in any future ISJ contests. Don't worry, we will not print phone numbers or addresses and those are only viewable online to contest administrators.
After you've logged in, click the "Submission" button to be directed to the entry form. Simply upload the photo that you'd like to enter and have printed in the paper. Then, tell us a little bit about your baby.
The entry period is December 28-January 18
The voting period is January 20-27.
Winners will be determined by the number of valid* votes. You must be logged in to vote.
 A few things to keep in mind:
• One entry per household. If you have twins, triplets, etc. please enter one photo with all of them pictured. Do not submit a separate photo for each baby.
• The entrant must live in Southeast Idaho. his includes the counties of Bannock, Bingham, Power, Franklin, Oneida, Bear Lake, Bonneville and Caribou.
• All entries are subject to approval. Please allow up to 24 hours for your entry to be approved. Entries made on weekends and holidays should be updated the following business day.
• One vote per valid registered account per duration of the contest. If you have multiple emails, such as a work email and a personal email for example, you may register and vote from each email ONCE.
• Do not use third party vote trading web sites to pad votes.
• Do not sign up for multiple fake email accounts to pad votes. We have our ways of knowing when some one is doing that, and you will be disqualified when we catch you.
• Asking people to vote for your baby on social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) is ok, in fact it's encouraged!
Bottom line: Play fair and have fun!
