IDAHO FALLS — Rock band My Darkest Days have been scheduled to perform at The Peppertree Lounge, 888 N. Holmes on Wednesday, June 20.
My Darkest Days were signed to 604 Records by Nickleback vocalist Chad Kroeger after they won a radio contest called “Rock Search” in their native Ontario, Canada.
Their first single, “Porn Star Dancing” features both Kroeger and Black Label Society vocalist and guitarist Zakk Wylde and the remix features rapper Ludacris. The song went gold in Canada and the United States and reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks and number seven on the Billboard Rock songs chart.
The self-title debut album also featured the songs “Move Your Body” and “Every Lie.”
They were named the “Best New Band of 2010” by HardDriveXL, a syndicated rock radio program that plays locally on KBEAR 101.5 FM.
The band performed in Idaho Falls in March of last year with Three Days Grace. Matt Waist, lead vocalist and guitarist for MDD and Three Days Grace’s bass guitar player Brad Waist are brothers.
The band are currently touring in support of their second studio album, “Sick and Twisted Affair.”
The concert will also feature local rock bands 2 a.m. Logic and The Unread.
Tickets are $16.50 plus applicable fees and are available now at www.redtieconcerts.com and the Sunnyside Tesoro in Idaho Falls. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m.
