Contest is not open to Idaho State Journal employees or their direct family members. One entry per valid e-mail address.
All entries must be received via online entry at idahostatejournal.com.
The winner of the “Why I Got Ink’d contest will be picked based on votes that are received online. All decisions are final.
Photos containing nudity or that feature derogatory or inappropriate themes or verbiage will not be accepted. The Idaho State Journal reserves the right to refuse photos which they deem unacceptable.
The prize for the contest is a prize package worth $500, donated by participating local tattoo shops.
All entries must be received by midnight on Friday, May 21. No mailed in or e-mailed photos will be accepted.
The Idaho State Journal is not responsible for copyright issues if a user submits a professionally taken photo. The entrant must receive permission to use the photo.
The winner will be announced on Friday, June 4 online at idahostatejournal.com, via e-mail and/or phone call to the winner, and in print in the Idaho State Journal.
The Idaho State Journal reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Entrants must be 18 year of age or older.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
